These are a few links that I've found helpful-some help with chronic pain, some with Libertarianism,
and some are just where I publish-or are just fun!
|
Thought I'd start with a few links that are simply helpful: Although they are sometimes
back political causes, their main focus is to help you, in your pain:
OK, now we go to a few advocacy groups. show what is and isn't being doing for
pain patients, drug decriminalization, etc.
- http://stopthedrugwar.org/index.shtml - worldwide interest; publishes a great, free, newsletter; not afraid to get it's
hands dirty; this is advocacy!
- http://www.drugpolicy.org/homepage.cfm - Probably my favorite site on the internet, this site offers free memberships AND a great message board
(If you visit, I'm a frequent poster, under the name "Legend"-if you join, they'll keep you updated on national and state
events, proposed legislation, and even provide, when legislation or other political actions take place, editable form letters,
which you can sign, and they will send it to the appropriate authority (your congressman, senator, governor, the president,
etc.) Also provides,at your request, a free newsletter, though not as comprehensive as the one above.
Plenty of other sites exit, but these stand out, and I'll stop here for now. I'll be looking for other sites,
but for now, I'll search out some libertarian sites.
Now, I'll list a few libertarian sites. I must admit I've misplaced a few, and may have to add
them later. But I won't let that keep me from starting:
- http://www.manhattanlp.org/ - Yes, it's the local site, but don't let the fact that you're not a manhattanite (or even a new Yorker)stop
you; visit the links page. I recommend the link to Reason magazine (althouh it's not the entire issue;you have to subscribe
to that) and the Laissez-faire book site, which offers different views on finance, education, and many other issues
that you may find radical; Later, I'll be making book recommendations, but with the discounts they give, you'll seldom go
wrong. I believe it has some links to other drug advocacy sites!
- http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz.html - I probably should have put this first; ARE you a libertarian? take the World's Smallest Political
quiz - you may be surprised at the results! Because this is the part of the site that's guaranteed to grab you, I directed
the link of Advocates for Self Government site here; but please, clck the other links; this site also offers a newsletter,
several excellent books for sale, and current information.
my vanity link: Here's my page on Epinions, a onsumer advice site, where people write
reviews of products to advise others. I write under the handle "morganna53"- So, you can read some of my opinions;
It's easier than my re-printing them here:
- http://www.epinions.com/user-morganna53 - OK, I did say I'd share my opinions about books; here, a lot of my work is already done; also opinions
on music, movies; maye you'll be inspired to join and share your own views-you can review just about anything, including computers,
software, hardware, kitchen appliances-Take a look at the site for its own sake, and yours.
Well, I think that's enough to publish for now; I will, unless I get really lazy and desert
this, or accidentally delete it (again); but, let's think positively. Glad to have done something productive today;
hope someone's reading!

I don't like to recommend online pharmacies; so many are fly-by night, and you risk
getting the wrong pills, the wrong amount, or nothing. And you have little or no legal recourse if or when it happens!
But with pain as the big equalizer, I certainly can understand temporary needs, and want to help in some way.
I won't recommend any specific ones,as they change so often. The young man who put the site listed below certainly
seems to have done his homework-if anyone's to be trusted, it's him. But I must say something that he agres with on his site:
anything over schedule 3 is likely to come from a sham ad; you're very unllikely to get anything worthwhile, let alone the
actual drug you ordered. So, with some trepidation, I present the link to this site:
